100 Best Travel YouTubers
Every other ranking of travel YouTube is built from the category tag YouTube ships with — which is why they list an airline, a beauty vlogger and a news desk as travel channels, and why they still have creators on them who stopped uploading years ago.
This one was built the other way round. We pulled the subscriber count, video count and last upload date from 173 candidate channels on September 6, 2026, reading each channel directly rather than trusting a ranking site, then screened every one of them by hand. What survived is below, ranked 1–100. What didn’t is at the foot of the page, each with the reason it was cut.
Short answer
Luisito Comunica is the most-subscribed travel YouTuber, with 46M subscribers — ahead of Joe HaTTab (21.1M) and Ruhi Cenet Documentaries (19.1M). 26 of the 100 channels here publish in a language other than English. The order is by subscriber count; a channel qualifies only if travel is the point of it, it has posted within the last year, and there is a person fronting it.

How the order was decided
Subscribers set the rank
At a hundred names, no honest editorial process can tell you why #67 beats #71 — any claim that it can is invented precision. So the count carries the ordering, and our judgement goes where it holds up: deciding who belongs here at all.
Three gates decide inclusion
Travel has to be the point of the channel, not scenery for something else. The channel has to be alive — nothing over a year silent. And there has to be a person behind it, which rules out ride-POV reels, faceless walking tours and airline accounts.
Doubt counts against
Where a channel’s focus was genuinely unclear and its own description didn’t settle it, we cut it rather than guess. A few large channels are missing for want of evidence, not merit — and they are named below rather than quietly dropped.

Subscriber counts, video counts and last-upload dates were read directly from each channel on September 6, 2026 and use YouTube’s own rounding. Counts move daily; the ordering moves far more slowly. “Most watched” is each channel’s all-time most-viewed upload, taken from its own Popular tab — for a few channels that turns out to be an outlier rather than typical of their work. Thumbnails are served by YouTube and remain their creators’ copyright; we host none of them. Links to channels are unpaid and uncompensated — no creator on this list was consulted, and none can buy a place on it.
Travel YouTube FAQ
Six questions about how this list is made.
Who is the biggest travel YouTuber?
Luisito Comunica, with 46M subscribers — roughly twice the audience of Joe HaTTab (21.1M) in second place. Luisito Comunica publishes in Spanish from Mexico, which is a fair summary of travel YouTube as a whole: the largest channels are not the English-language ones most lists cover.
How is this ranking decided?
Subscriber count sets the order. At a hundred channels no editorial process can honestly justify why one sits at 67 and another at 71, so judgement is spent on who qualifies instead: travel has to be the point of the channel, it must have posted within the last year, and a person has to front it. That rules out ride-POV reels, faceless walking tours and airline accounts.
Are these subscriber numbers current?
They were read directly from each channel on September 6, 2026, not taken from a ranking site — most of those are years out of date. Counts move daily, but the ordering moves far more slowly.
Which travel YouTubers are still posting?
All of them — posting within the last year is a condition of being listed, and 77 of the 100 have posted within the last fortnight. That gate is the main reason this list differs from the aggregator rankings, which still carry channels that went silent years ago.
Are all the best travel YouTubers in English?
No — 26 of these 100 channels publish in another language, and the biggest of all is Spanish-language. Turkish, Arabic, Thai, Vietnamese, Hindi and Punjabi channels all appear in the top 30, which is where most English-language rankings of travel YouTube go wrong.
Which travel YouTuber should I watch before a trip?
It depends where you are going. For Japan, Abroad in Japan and Paolo fromTOKYO pair well with our things to do in Tokyo guide. For Thailand, Mark Wiens on food alongside things to do in Bangkok. For Prague, HONEST GUIDE is close to essential — they film the scams — next to things to do in Prague. For Europe broadly, Rick Steves remains the most reliable planner on this list.
