Travel Data
Measurements we compile ourselves, from the bodies that publish them — and a published list of everything we cut, so you can see what the number does not cover.
Every index here follows the same contract. The inclusion rules are stated before the table, not after it. Every row names the authority it came from and says how well we could evidence it. The date it was measured is on the page. And what was screened out is published with the reason, because a list with no exclusions is indistinguishable from a list nobody checked.

The indexes
Each one dated, sourced and published with what it cut.
-
Tourist Taxes Worldwide
Every statutory levy on visitors we can evidence — what it costs, what triggers it, and when it last moved. Per-night and per-arrival charges are listed separately, because they are not the same quantity.
-
Most Visited Countries
Every country on Earth ranked by international tourist arrivals — and the ones left deliberately unranked because their published figures contradict each other by up to 50%.
-
Tourists Per Resident
International overnight arrivals divided by resident population. The one figure here we compute ourselves — and the one where stating the basis matters more than the number.
-
Capped, Booked or Banned
Visitor caps, permits, entry fees and bans in force right now, sourced to the body that made each rule. A tracker, not a ranking — there is deliberately no #1.
-
100 Best Travel YouTubers
The biggest travel-first channels on the platform, ranked by subscribers and screened by hand. The page every index here was modelled on.
How we build these
From the authority, not the roundup
A rate, a cap or a ratio is taken from the body that sets or publishes it. Travel-press roundups are compiled from other roundups, which is how a figure that changed in January is still being quoted in December.
Every row says how sure we are
A row marked Primary was read off the authority’s own page. Corroborated means independent reports agree but a direct read was not possible. A table with no such mark implies every cell is equally solid, which is rarely true of anything.
The cuts are the point
Each index publishes what it excluded and why it failed a gate. It is the only part that answers the question readers actually arrive with — why isn’t the place I expected on here? — and the part that makes the page a reference rather than a listicle.
These pages are dated on purpose. A measurement with no date is a measurement you cannot judge, and every index here carries the day it was compiled. The build fails if one goes stale, so a date on this site is a commitment rather than a decoration.
Nothing on these pages is sponsored, and no authority, operator or creator listed was consulted about its placement. Where an index links out, the link is unpaid.
